Tuition...

Lately, some of the teachers are very anxious. Worrying that they might get caught as now they are limited not to give tuitions more than 4 hours per week. Once they are caught, there will be no promotion for them in 10 years. Students that so used to have tuition classes now suffer.

From my opinions, this regulation is not appropriate. From my own experiences, some of the teachers really work hard in order for their students to score in the examination. Not only in the schools but in other places as well. That's why a lot of the parents willing to payextra money to get a school teacher to teach their children-RM50 per hour. Lets think from the teacher's point of view. Are the salary they get from the school enough to pay all the expences? Lets calculate- paying all the loan-transportation-RM 300, Home loan-RM500, meal-RM20 per day which make it RM600 per month. Rough calculation for a teacher that is single and without any parents-RM1400 per month and how much is the salary? Consider that the teacher need to give some money to the parents as well as trying to find a companion.

Some of the people may think that it is a way to improve the teachers' qualities. For my own opinion, it is no effective. Teachers that give tuition outside school who i consider to be the extra hardworking of course it is an undenial truth that they do it for money, they might be tire but when we think that the company actually pay money for their workers to works overtime. Then what's wrong if the teachers give tuitions. Moreover, some of the students really need helps. It is about the educations, not about the teachers. A student that merely know all the alphabets is allow to study in Form 5. It is not the teachers' faults.

Even if the teachers do not teach tuitions outside the schools, how sure are you that they will be a good teacher? Make your conclusion- Give extra tuition outside schools= low quality teacher?
No give extra tuition outside schools= high quality teacher?
